    OLSEN
I am looking for relatives of Peter Olsen who, according to my grandmother's obit in 1970, lived in Decatur, Ill. Peter was her brother. Peter was the son of Clemen & Karen Olsen of Gardner Ill. He had a sister, Bodil (my grandmother) and two brothers James & Elmer. I don't know when Peter moved to Decatur. His first wife's name was Sarah and they had 5 children; Gale, Sarah Janet, Mary Caroline, Irene & Billie Jean. Peter's 2nd wife's name was Bernice. I think Peter's full name was Nels Peter Olsen. There was a message on the Grundy County message board from a Lysa Olsen who said she was looking for information on her grandfather, Peter Olsen who had a brother Elmer. I think her e-mail address has changed. Does anyone know her?

    PATE
My Pate line was in either Christian Co or Macon, sometimes back and forth between 1804 and 1900. I'm particularly looking for William Riley Pate who disappeared after his third wife died in 1852 in Christian Co. He gave his two-year old twins out to a SWICK family in Decatur to be raised and I'd really like to contact a descendent of that family to help uncover some of the puzzle pieces. Thanks for your help and for keeping such a great website going. It's one of the better ones.
