To Subscribe to the IL-OBITS. mailing list in MAIL MODE send an email message to: il-obits-l-request@rootsweb.com To subscribe in DIGEST mode send an email message to: il-obits-d-request@rootsweb.com Leave the subject line blank and in the body have nothing but the word : SUBSCRIBE (Turn off your signature files, etc.) To unsubscribe send a message to the same address containing the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of message. The purpose of this list is to ask for assistance in locating an obituary in the particular county to which you are subscribing. You might also volunteer to help support the county you live in by doing obit lookups yourself. Please, DO NOT send messeges to this list in HTML encoding. These messages do not go anywhere but to me. Please turn off your HTML encoding. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, this is under: Mail - Options - Mail Sending Format.
