This picture was scanned from an old tin type, and is the only picture that I have of him. He was wounded at Ft. Donelson in his face (jaw) in the Civil War. Jack served in the 8th IL Inf. in Co A.
Arthusa Mandell Nicholson, daughter of Jeremiah Nicholson & Lucinda Logan, and wife of Andrew Jackson Florey. Also their one and only child, John Andrew Florey. This picture must have been taken in Jacksonville, IL as that was where John was born in 1869.
