    BRAMBLE
My ancestor, Edward G. Bramble lived most of his life (born 1845, died 1896) in Decatur, Macon County, IL. His father, William H. Bramble was a fairly prominent citizen in the years after about 1850 and died there in 1906. Edward married, Martha (Mattie) A. Stephens (born 1841, died 1902) in Decatur. One of this couple's children, my grandfather, William Wynnship Bramble was born in 1874 and married Emma Elizabeth Pahmeyer in 1899 in Decatur. Emma was a daughter of Frederick and Katherine (Lucking) Pahmeyer who lived most of their lives in Decatur.
I have much information on these families, but would like to correspond with others who have information to "round out" my understanding of the individuals. I will be happy to share anything that I have with those interested.

    MAUZY
John Henry Mauzy moved to Decatur about 1866. He held several positions with the city such as constable, collector, deputy sheriff, and Sheriff. He also was a member in 1872 of the volunteer fire department. On Oct 20 1870 he married Harriet Elen Virden of the area. They had one son, Joseph Quinn Mauzy. born October 27, 1871. I found records of a murder trial that took place about March 1898 in which Joseph Mauzy was the defendant. What I'm needing for my research is any photos of the jail or courthouse around the time between 1866-1892, and or photos of the fire department in the time of 1870's, or any other records or information regarding any of the people mentioned. Please e-mail me or tellephone me if you have any information and/or photographs for me to identify. I will pay all costs incurred with copying information

    WILLIAMS
WILLIAMS / RUNION: I know that some of these surnames are represented in Decatur and Macon Co., and I would like some help with further information. My father and mother were married 12 Oct. 1935 in Decatur but moved from there sometime after 1939. I was born there as was my next youngest brother. Parents were Victor Harry WILLIAMS, b. 12 Aug. 1912 in Mt. View, Howell Co., MO. He married Dorothy May RUNION, b. 2 July 1918 in Christian Co., Il. They died in CA and OR. I really am looking for info other than marriage, birth, etc. I would like to know if anyone has any newspaper items, or other stories, etc of my family during this time.

I am searching for the family of Alexander J. WILSON (b. c1802 in TN, m. Malinda [SMITH?], d. 11 Sep 1869 in Mt. Zion, Macon Co., IL). He had daughters, Mary C. "Mattie" WILSON (b. 1837, m. Stephen MAHANNAH, d. Oct 1862 in Macon Co., IL) and Martha M. WILSON (who m. George SMITH). Two siblings of Alexander J. WILSON (1802-1869) may be James C. WILSON (b. c1810 TN, m. Nancy DYKE, d.
