    GORIN
Total frustration on one's family tree. I am stuck in Decatur, surely wish I still lived close! I am looking for the parentage of one Mary JOHNSON. I have no birthdate on her; she married in Decatur on 28 July 1831 to our Dr. William Bartley Gorin. She died in Louisiana, Pike, MO 10 Jan 1846 where the family had moved later.

With a name like Johnson, before anyone was shown on the census except head of household ... I am totally lost. I hate to have my daughter's pedigree chart end abruptly there! She was likely born about 1810 or earlier. I know of the marriage but don't have any permission slips or anything. Do any of you tie in with this lonely lady? I would appreciate ANY help anyone can give - I have a copy of the family Bible but alas Mary didn't make it! Thanks so much.

    GRAHAM
I seek any information on John Graham who was born in Ireland and removed then to Scotland for a period in the early 1850s, then to Shoemaker, PA and on to LaSalle Cty, IL. He died in Decatur, Macon Cty, IL March 22, 1888. He was hospitalized for "black lung" at the time. His wife, Mary McCloskey, was also born in Ireland and was with him in Scotland. They had at least two daughters born there: Anna 1855, and Alice about 1849. Anna married Robert Garrett Ferriter in LaSalle Cty, IL in 1873, and Alice married Mathew Costello in 1870 in McLean Cty, IL. I believe there were more children but I do not have information on them. Mary died in Custer Cty, NE but her body was shipped back to Decatur to lie beside her husband. John and Mary McCloskey Graham are my GGgrandparents.

    GROSVENOR / EDWARDS
I am looking for burial, marriage or other vital or biographical information on a Hiram or Catherine (Kate) GROSVENOR who were listed as living in Argenta, Macon County, IL in the 1860 IL Census. Their name in this census was butchered by the census taker, as was usually the case with this surname, and it was recorded as GROSENON and they were listed as living in Dwelling No. 1120-Family No. 1130 in this census. Hiram GROSVENOR supposedly died ca. 1863, probably in IL but we do not know where he is buried or the cause of his death. Catherine's eldest daughter, Lucy, was married to Rev. John Wesley EDWARDS and she died in 11 Jan 1868 and she is buried in Friend Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Thank you.

    GRUBEL
I am trying to find out information on my grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Grubel. He was born in Decatur, Macon, IL. He is the son of Edward August Grubel (born about 1850 in Germany) and Sarah Emily McGorray (born about 1850 in the US). He had 5 siblings. They are: Mollie (b: 1878 in IL); Daisy (b: 1880 in IL); Edward Alexander (b: 1883 in IL); Earl Kruse (b: 1887 in IL); and Margaret (aka: Dolly) (b: 1889 in IL). Edward August Grubel had possibly 8 siblings: I belileve them to be the following: Paul (Karl?) who was a manager of Rienza on Lake Michigan near Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL: Alma (Emma) no other data: Herman who married and lived in Chicago: Minnie (Minna) Kruse who was married and had children. No hard data: William (Wilhelm) who was married and moved frequently. he was a cigar maker. No hard data: Frank who lived in Springfield, MO: Ernst (Ernest) no other data. These would have all been born in Germany. I believe in Grafenhainichen which is no longer in existence but is located near what is now Leipzig. Does any of this sound familiar. If so, can you please help? Thank you,

I have several photos of them in the early 1900's and info they might like to have about their Tennessee connections. Thank You for your time.

    JUMP
I am looking for information about Samuel Jump, born April 5, 1816 in Delaware, died 1866 in Macon Co., and is buried in Wrights Grove Cemetery. Also his wife Sarah Ann (Murphy) Jump, born Nov. 20, 1815 in Delaware, died 1883 in Macon Co., and is buried in the same cemetery. Are there any Jumps in the Macon County history? Any information is appreciated.
